This little guy is a month already and growing like a weed.  I am so happy he is finally putting some rolls on.  His legs are still pretty skinny but he's getting there.  He is so opposite of Addison in that way.  I was lucky to capture this little smile, or so it seems, the other night. Today, was the first time he smiled and it wasn't because of gas.  He is also starting to coo.

This morning Addison told me she was going to relax and lay on the couch.  I had to have her repeat it a couple of times before I understood what she was saying.  And once I figured it out I cracked up.
After bath.

When I checke on Addison during her nap this is what I saw.  She was cuddled up to her wind sock she made at her school in WI.  Before her nap it was hanging above her bed. I'm still not sure if she pulled it down or it fell.  My bets are on she pulled it down.

We've been taking advantage this week since Ryan has been home on paternity leave.  We went and checked out the Waikiki Aquarium.  They had some pretty amazing looking fish on display.  Here's a picture of the kind of fish Ryan is trying for when he goes spear fishing.
They were bigger than Addison!  And speaking of her, she would rather play with the electronics than check out the fish.  She is definatley her father's daughter.

Addison got a chance to hold a, as she told Aunt Summer today, little tiny baby crab.  She quickly dropped him when she found out he crawled out of his shell.  It was so funny.
This is the view Easton has from our swank new sit and stand stroller.  It drives as Ryan say, like an eighteen wheeler, but it's super convenient with the two of them.
The War Memorial is in the background here.  I need to find out more about what it's all about.  All I know is that the architecture is rockin.
Today, Addison got out the sidewalk chalk and with the addition of some water that was on the ground and her Dad's suggestion, she turned it into body paint.  But the joke was on Ryan when he went to hose it off of her and he found out it doesn't come off.
So he decided an outdoor shower was in order.  Addison happily agreed!
 She's tan...mostly.
And we end with a picture of our little hippo. He constantly wants to eat!  And when he isn't pooping, puking, or crying this is what he looks like.  Pretty sweet.

Easton's Room

I love these rhinos, the board they are on pop off the wall.  I put some old charts from the area behind them and distressed them a little.  The finishing touch was some nail head trim around the outsides!
Here are some pictures of Easton's room so far.  I really wish I could paint some walls but the houseing office will charge us $250 for the first wall and $100 for every wall after it when we move out.  Yikes, not worth it.  Drapes, accessories, and some wall hangings are still coming so stay tuned!
With my Mom here for three weeks the crib bedding came together super fast!
We bought a new dresser, not refinishing this time around.  I just ran out of days!  I'm going to put up drapes on a babmboo rod.  The drapes will be white with a blue grosgrain ribbon trim in a greek key pattern in the corners. Love the surveyors lamp.
My mom made a cover for the oscar chair.  It looks so much better!  And the birds on the lamp shades are my take on a mobile.

That's it for now.  I'll try to post completed pictures when I get it done.

EASTON'S HERE!

My Mom arrived on July 11th in anticipation of Easton and to pass the time she did lots of projects with Addison.  They painted magnets.
Watched movies and ate popcorn.
Watched the clouds pass while enjoying the warm weather.
Made parfaits and...
Addison's favorite, cupcakes!  Just some of their projects they did while waiting for the big day!
This picture is at the request of April.  This is right before we headed out the door to the hospital.
They are tough cookies at this hospital, no deodorant, no make-up, no contacts, no shaving the day before, not even hairspray!  But I was a rebel, I put on water proof eye liner and mascara the day before so that morning I still had some on and I technically didn't break the rules.
We had to be at the hospital at 5:30am for a 7:30am c-section.  My Mom stayed back at the house with Addison until Easton was born.  In no time flat we were hearing Easton cry and saw his little face for the first time.
One proud Daddy!  We were waiting to get out of recovery when I took this picture of them.  Addison was a little apprehensive when she came to see Easton at the hospital.
 She slowly edged over.
 And then she was fine.
She was very nurturing right from the start and continues to be very helpful when we ask her for favors.
 Who's more thrilled?

Not once has she complained of his crying...yet.
IV fluids do a number on c-section babies.  He lost quite a bit of his puffiness over the first few days.
We came home on Sunday.  This was Addison's first time holding her brother at home.
 Loving on the little guy.
Grandma Jodi arrived on Tue. and fell in love again.
Addison fell in love with Grandma's ipad.
Easton arrived on Friday, July 20th at 8:13am weighing in at 9.6lbs (1oz under Addison) and 20" long (1/2" shorter than Addison.)  We are enjoying getting to know this sweet new spirit and realizing all the wonderful blessing we have been given.

What You Have Been Waiting For.

On Easton's sixth day we headed out to Bellow's Beach with the Grandma's in tow.  The day was a  little windy but we still had fun.  Bellow's is an Air force property and we were in luck that day.  We saw so many helicopters and cargo planes doing maneuvers over the beach.  It was a great show!
Not a bad way to spend the sixth day of your life!  We should all be so lucky!  And for Mommy the sun was super healing.

 Dad buried Addison.

And then Addison buried Dad.

 The proud Grandmas!
Easton's womb skin has been peeling so Grandma Jodi has been giving him olive oil massages.  He loves to have his thighs massaged.  His little legs shoot straight out.

We also got a new car, a Chevy Cruize, so now we are a two car family again.  Who says two year olds can't drive?
We visited Dole Plantation to celebrate the Grandma's birthday which happen to both be in July back to back.  Addison is showing you Easton's foot sticking out of the blanket.  We badly need to buy a double stroller!
 Feeding the Koi at Dole.
Grandma Jodi and Addison trying to reach the bananas.
Addison learned how to work Grandma Jodi's camera and was trying her hand at photography.
Posing for our family picture before boarding the Plantation Train.
Dole also grows a very rare and cute pineapple variety...Agre pineapples!
 This one is especially sweet!
Jodi wanted to try the chocolate drink I posted on FB when we first got here.  I was more than happy to oblige!  After going to the Yard House, in downtown Waikiki, for dinner we headed over to the Galleria for a Godiva chocolate drink.  Addison also got one of the "beautiful candies" again.
 Enjoying our drink.
 Brother, sister bonding.
Daddy taught Addison the fine art of dipping an Oreo!  Which she loved.
We've also been doing a lot of projects again.  This one involved excavating treasures out of gelatin.  And you must have squirt bottles full of colored water when you are excavating.

Ok, hopes this tides you over until the next post!
