Memorial Day Weekend

First, a cute shot just for the heck of it. This is how I found Addison sleeping away her nap. Arms up and stretched out for a good sleep. We started off Memorial Day Weekend a day early. I went up the peninsula with Desiree and Christine to celebrate Desiree's birthday. The boat pulled in minutes before I was to leave so Dad and Addison got some quality time together. We stopped first to have lunch.
Went shopping and finished up with ice cream.

Dippy's ice cream shop.

This is the restaurant we ate at. We ate upstairs in the open air balcony. It was fabulous! On Saturday we first went to a nursery up the peninsula. Kim had taken me there earlier in the week where we scored $0.49 cent plants. Can you even believe it! So I took Ryan there on Saturday so he could pick out pepper plants for his topsy turvy. Later in the afternoon we met up with Kim and the kids at the Fine Art Fair. The art wasn't really up our alley but the food was. Logan and Abe got to try their hand at making fine art. But all Abe wanted to do was eat the paint. Notice the blue? He took the loaded paint brush and shoved the whole thing in his mouth. This is after he tasted the yellow.
Ryan decided to try out Addison on the baby swing. And she loved it. Especially when he would tickle her feet.

Addison and her buddy Abe. She loves Abe, he makes her smile and Abe in return likes to poke her in the eyes or the head.

Later that night Sam, Kim, Logan, and Abe came over for a BBQ. It was so nice to be able to use our porch for the first time since we moved here a year ago.
Abe really liked the s'mores, my camera lens however did not.
Sunday afternoon we had a farewell dinner at Eric and Christine's for Travis and Desiree.
A game of horseshoes which required trimming the tree first.
The weather was perfect for outdoor grilling.
Addison fell asleep while we were outside all snuggled in her sleeping bag with Dad.
And that was our Memorial Day weekend. Not too shabby.
