He's 2months Already

Today, marked Easton being in our family for two moths already!  I can't believe it's been that long.
He's a very sweet little guy.  He sleeps for six hours when he first goes to sleep and then gets up every 4-5hrs after that.  He has been smiling a lot and "talking" to us when we talk to him.  Lately, I've been catching him smiling while he is looking around the room.
He still doesn't have that much hair which seems a little weird considering how much Ryan, Addison and I have, maybe by next month!
This little girl is such a great big sister.  She is very helpful and loves her brother.  I have asked her a couple times if we should take Easton back and she always answers with an urgent, "No."  She always likes to know where he is at if she can't see him.
She learned how to put a pencil in her hair like Mom.

The MWR hosted a free concert by the Imagination Movers, a Disney show.  Addison was less interested in the show and more interested in running around with her friend.
And lastly, I think I have a budding decorator on my hands.  These are the boats we put up every time Ryan gets underway to help Addison visualize when Dad will be home.  Each day she takes one boat down, getting closer to the day Dad will be back home.  Last time we put them up this is how she arranged them!  I love it!  Very design conscious, already.

For an activity we made home made graham crackers in the shapes of animals.
I just love this little face.  She is so expressive with her face.
Little E swinging in his bamboo PJs from Aunt ShawNee.  These suckers are so so soft!  He is getting more and more inquisitive to his surroundings and has started really giving us smiles and cooing this last week.  Very darling.
Sometimes we see this little monster around our house.  But a little time out in the corner does the trick!
 These two are already buddies!

Saturday

Saturday we headed out to the lagoons on the west side of the island.  Easton was very cool thanks to his rash guard and trunks from Aunt ShawNee and Blake.
I wanted to take a picture of Addison and she gave me this series of impromptu poses.

What a nut!

The lagoon is my new favorite spot for a kids beach.  The rocks protect the beach water from the waves so Addison is free to go in the water on her own without being afraid of getting knocked down.

The beach is always a good place for a nap.

The little spout in the middle of this picture, in front of the rock, is Ryan.  He went snorkeling for awhile.  He said there wasn't too many fish to see.  Just the usual small reef fish.
And another nap for Easton.
This one is for Aunt ShawNee.

This little guy is a month already and growing like a weed.  I am so happy he is finally putting some rolls on.  His legs are still pretty skinny but he's getting there.  He is so opposite of Addison in that way.  I was lucky to capture this little smile, or so it seems, the other night. Today, was the first time he smiled and it wasn't because of gas.  He is also starting to coo.

This morning Addison told me she was going to relax and lay on the couch.  I had to have her repeat it a couple of times before I understood what she was saying.  And once I figured it out I cracked up.
After bath.

When I checke on Addison during her nap this is what I saw.  She was cuddled up to her wind sock she made at her school in WI.  Before her nap it was hanging above her bed. I'm still not sure if she pulled it down or it fell.  My bets are on she pulled it down.

We've been taking advantage this week since Ryan has been home on paternity leave.  We went and checked out the Waikiki Aquarium.  They had some pretty amazing looking fish on display.  Here's a picture of the kind of fish Ryan is trying for when he goes spear fishing.
They were bigger than Addison!  And speaking of her, she would rather play with the electronics than check out the fish.  She is definatley her father's daughter.

Addison got a chance to hold a, as she told Aunt Summer today, little tiny baby crab.  She quickly dropped him when she found out he crawled out of his shell.  It was so funny.
This is the view Easton has from our swank new sit and stand stroller.  It drives as Ryan say, like an eighteen wheeler, but it's super convenient with the two of them.
The War Memorial is in the background here.  I need to find out more about what it's all about.  All I know is that the architecture is rockin.
Today, Addison got out the sidewalk chalk and with the addition of some water that was on the ground and her Dad's suggestion, she turned it into body paint.  But the joke was on Ryan when he went to hose it off of her and he found out it doesn't come off.
So he decided an outdoor shower was in order.  Addison happily agreed!
 She's tan...mostly.
And we end with a picture of our little hippo. He constantly wants to eat!  And when he isn't pooping, puking, or crying this is what he looks like.  Pretty sweet.

Easton's Room

I love these rhinos, the board they are on pop off the wall.  I put some old charts from the area behind them and distressed them a little.  The finishing touch was some nail head trim around the outsides!
Here are some pictures of Easton's room so far.  I really wish I could paint some walls but the houseing office will charge us $250 for the first wall and $100 for every wall after it when we move out.  Yikes, not worth it.  Drapes, accessories, and some wall hangings are still coming so stay tuned!
With my Mom here for three weeks the crib bedding came together super fast!
We bought a new dresser, not refinishing this time around.  I just ran out of days!  I'm going to put up drapes on a babmboo rod.  The drapes will be white with a blue grosgrain ribbon trim in a greek key pattern in the corners. Love the surveyors lamp.
My mom made a cover for the oscar chair.  It looks so much better!  And the birds on the lamp shades are my take on a mobile.

That's it for now.  I'll try to post completed pictures when I get it done.
