Latest Project
I've been seeing word art all over the craft blogs and really wanted to create one. No "I'll love you to the moon and back," or "It all started because two people fell in love." Those are all well and good but I wanted something unique to our little family and I came up with this.
Ryan's take on my "creative word art saying,"... "That's random." I am so blessed to have a husband who gets my ideas! Anyway, I'm trying to infuse more color into our house and I think these letters do the trick!

Halloween
This weekend was our branch Trunk-or-Treat party. Here's some of the decorations in progress. It looked super spooky with the lights off.
This lighting just doesn't do the decor justice.
Some of the center pieces were goldfish with glow in the dark pebbles.
This year for our family costume theme Ryan thought up Addison being a race car driver that led us to being her pit crew. Ryan made up a killer racecar that fit over her wagon. Here's pictures from the party last night.
It only took one trunk-or-treat car until Addison was a pro at getting candy, putting it in her bag and then running onto the next car.

When Mom's Away
Ryan watched Addison one day and I came home to find a list he made of things to do to keep her busy. This was one of the activities. My Dad had previously left some acrylic paints, canvas, and brushes here when he visited. Ryan set up a easel from a diaper box and a pallet, made a smock out of a garbage bag and set this up.

Yesterday was a BIG day in our house.
This is the REAL Addison, all wide mouthed excitement over big and little events.
Yesterday we put on Fall clothes and went to the Harvest Festival. The weather was perfect, not too cold and not too hot. It had the perfect crisp of Autumn in it.
We enjoyed perusing the craft wares, listening and dancing to the live music in the streets, and sampling the street food, especially the homemade crepes!
I think she has seen one too many shows of "America's Next Top Model." She's really got that "say cheese," face down to a science!
Ryan got to come home and visit, for 24hrs, from dry dock, three hours away. We enjoyed a quiet weekend catching up, taking naps, playing games, and playing at the park. But the crowning "jewel" at our house was...wait for it...wait for it...
