Yesterday was a BIG day in our house.

This is the REAL Addison, all wide mouthed excitement over big and little events. Yesterday we put on Fall clothes and went to the Harvest Festival. The weather was perfect, not too cold and not too hot. It had the perfect crisp of Autumn in it.
We enjoyed perusing the craft wares, listening and dancing to the live music in the streets, and sampling the street food, especially the homemade crepes!

I think she has seen one too many shows of "America's Next Top Model." She's really got that "say cheese," face down to a science!

Ryan got to come home and visit, for 24hrs, from dry dock, three hours away. We enjoyed a quiet weekend catching up, taking naps, playing games, and playing at the park. But the crowning "jewel" at our house was...wait for it...wait for it...

Addison pooped for the first time in the potty! And we made a very big deal about it with pictures and flushing, toilet paper, and "Yeah, you're a big girl!"

And I must say that "Da-E" did a very excellent job of capturing the moment and keeping the "bits" covered. So that's what "dropped" at our house yesterday, how about at yours?

Today

We played peek-a-boo around the corner of the wall.
Just kicked it after nap and watched some Elmo.

Tried on our winter gear to make sure we are ready.

Washington Vacation

Rick and Ryan went fishing and came back with these. They bought them. Just kidding! It is so nice to swing on the patio when it's warm outside. Addison loved it. I came out side and caught her swinging, kicked back, lounging on the pillows with her feet up on Grandma Jodi's lap. They weren't talking, just swinging and enjoying themselves.

Addison decided she needed to kneel down for the picture like Pop-Pop and Grandma.

We're Back.

After a month long vacation out on the west coast we are back. We had so much fun and loved catching up with family and friends. More on that to come, but for now some recent pictures. Would you let this little grub in?

She loves, loves, loves vegan overnight oats. Want the recipe? Go to here.

I'm not done yet (I have one panel still to go) but here's my latest project...black and white striped curtains. They have given me the inspiration to finally do up this room.
